This game was the most embarrassing thing that could happen to MLS. It show’s that the North american game is not evolved enough to contend with any of the worlds top clubs.

Why do MLS clubs play friendlies against A+ teams like R. Madrid and Man United (heaven forbid Barcelona, that would be a a massacre)?
They should play against average C to B level clubs… Heck, there are so many weak clubs in Europe! They could play against weaker German and English teams, teams from Greece, Serbia, Belgium, Austria…
Those would be fair match-ups and the MLS teams would get much more experience than playing matches like this.
